Easy Physics Experiments for Kids
Learning Physics Through Play
Physics doesn't have to be intimidating. These experiments use everyday items to demonstrate fundamental concepts in ways kids can see, touch, and understand.
Experiment 1: Egg Drop Challenge
Build a protective container for a raw egg using straws, cotton, and tape. Drop from increasing heights. Teaches impact force and energy absorption.
Experiment 2: Balloon Rocket
Thread a string through a straw, tape a balloon to the straw, inflate without tying, and release. Demonstrates Newton's Third Law โ every action has an equal and opposite reaction.
Experiment 3: Friction Ramp
Roll toy cars down a ramp onto different surfaces โ carpet, tile, sandpaper. Measure distances. Teaches friction and surface resistance.
